“Always excited and inspired to explore the latest KOMIKAZE, the annual full-colour anthology open to global creators pushing the frontiers of ‘authorial, art and alternative comics’. Over two decades now, editor and contributor Ivana Armanini corrals a fascinating range of new works each issue. This number presents around half from Croatia, the other from around the globe, in a 128-page, bi-lingual English/Croatian volume limited to 500 copies. Among the intriguing highlights for me are these pieces shown here: ‘A Boat’ by Richard Brautigan, adapted by Cella Antica Celic and ‘At The Distance Heart Grows’ by Apolonia Lucic, both from Croatia; and ‘Trees’ by Christina Gardumi from Italy.
