Paul Gravett / 7.2021: “KOMIKAZE: DISCOVER CROATIA’S AWARD-WINNING COMIX ANTHOLOGY: At the 2020 Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d’Angoulême, the global, bi-lingual (English and Croatian) comix anthology KOMIKAZE very deservedly was awarded the Prix BD Alternative. Since 2002, this annual compendium has provided a vital, vigorous space for expressive, challenging approaches to the medium. Based in Zagreb with Ivana Armanini as main editor, issues #18 & #19 here are the latest, (120-128 pages, 500 copies). Cover of #18 is by Radovan Popovic (Russia), cover of #19 by Elevator Teeth (https://elevatorteeth.com).
